Stuffed Shirts

 

My 'Stuffed Shirt' cushions began life when I was trying to find a use for all the clothes I no longer needed.  The first pair of cushions I made were a farewell present for some friends who were leaving the area.  I was amazed by how many people admired them and that encouraged me to make more.    Some of the cushions are made entirely from upcycled clothing, others from a mixture of new and vintage.  Fillings are 100% polyester fibre and assembled covers are hand-stitched.

 

I was asked if I would make a chef and a waiter by some friends of the owners of the Overscaig Hotel.  Here below is how the happy hoteliers employed their new staff!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The same hotel owners, Jan and Martin, had redecorated the residents' lounge in animal print designs and asked me to make a couple of cushions for their new settee (see the results below).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I had a request to make some child-safe cushions (see below) as
